About this course
Course Overview
HLTAID009 (Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): This course equips participants with the skills to respond to cardiac emergencies. Learn to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and manage the unconscious casualty.
HLTAID010 (Provide Basic Emergency Life Support): Covering a broader scope, this course includes CPR techniques and expands to address first aid responses for various emergencies. Gain proficiency in managing bleeding, fractures, burns, and medical conditions, ensuring effective support until professional help arrives.
HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid): This comprehensive training encompasses all aspects of HLTAID009 and HLTAID010, with additional focus on incident management, legal considerations, and collaboration with other first aiders. Acquire skills in recognizing and responding to a wide range of injuries and illnesses, ensuring a thorough understanding of first aid principles.
Prerequisites
Minimum age 14
You will need:
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
100 points ID (e.g. Passport & drivers licence 0R Birth Certificate & drivers licence -check web for combinations OR check online for other options). One must be a photo ID.
Certification
Specific licensing/regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.
